Drew Palmer

Drew is a historian and museum professional specializing in Revolutionary War studies and museum curation. He earned a Master of Arts in Applied History with a concentration in Museum Studies from Shippensburg University in 2024. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from DeSales University in 2023.

He has gained extensive curatorial and interpretive experience at multiple public history sites, including the historic Shippensburg Little Red Schoolhouse, where he served as director; Appomattox Court House; Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine; Adams National Historical Park; and Fort Ticonderoga. Throughout his career in the museum field, he has developed expertise in exhibit interpretation and development, exhibit installation, historical research, collections cataloging, and interdepartmental coordination.

He is also a historian of the American Revolution, with research focusing primarily on Maryland’s role in the conflict and military operations in the Southern Theater. He has published multiple articles based on his research. He is the founder and editor of Revolutionary Maryland, an educational website, journal, and public history platform dedicated to uncovering and sharing Maryland’s experiences during the American Revolution.

In addition to his work in public history, he is a passionate educator who currently teaches U.S. history at the high school level.
